"Kid to Kid" store shout out

This week my child threw major tantrums every time I tried to get her dressed. She wanted as little buttons/snaps as possible, and I wanted anything that could be taken off easy without smearing, well, lets face it, any poo up the rest of her body. (And we ALL know how lovely that is once they start eating solids.) So today I ran out to the local Kid-to-Kid store ( ours is Am. Fork), which if you've never heard of, is a great place to buy nicer, used clothing for less, and you can earn store credit or cash by selling kids clothes there yourself. Little did I know... right now they are having a 2-for-1 sale. Buy two pieces of clothing (size 0-12) and get one free. Not to mention most of the clothes in there are currently on clearance! Hooray for more savings!

Next week(Thurs. - Sat.) will be their semi-annual clearance sale, which they informed me will have everything marked down even more, up to 75% off. Plus, the more you buy- the more you save... $1-$10 take an additional 10% off. $20-$30 take 20% off. $30 and up- take 25% off.

Keep in mind these stores are each individually owned, so I can't guarantee that your local Kid-to-Kid will have the same sale. But, it's worth checking out- especially if you live in Utah County!

I also recommend getting on their mailing list, because they send out a flier once a month that often has a coupon in it to take additional discounts, or fun contests you can enter to win store credit.

Today I spent $25 bucks- more than I intended, but then, everything I got ended up being $2- name brand stuff from Gap, Old Navy, Babies R Us, Arizona Jean Co., you got it. (Which by the way, after looking at used clothing, it is obvious the name brands do tend to hold up better... so it seems)

To find the Kid-to-Kid near you, check out
http://www.kidtokid.com/locations.php store is NOT only in Utah, it's throughout the U.S. and even in my favorite foreign country... Portugal!

Good luck everyone!

  1. That is so cool! I forgot about the one in American Fork. All I know is that Provo's isn't that great. With so many young parents, I am sure they aren't dropping off their clothes as much as other stores. I always shop in Sandy and have found awesome stuff, but I'll have to check AF. I LOVE kid to kid. Too bad I already have his current wardrobe and he is growing so slowly lately. I don't get to buy him clothes for awhile. :(
